Associates for Just Psychology

Just Psychology CIC is looking for Associates with a passion for social justice, a proven commitment to cultural diversity and cultural competence, and an understanding of the wide range of factors which affect people’s psychological and mental health.

We are looking for practitioners who can deliver expert witness assessments, therapeutic work, training and consultation.

Associates will be accredited with a relevant professional body, eg BPS, UKCP, BABCP, HCPC. They will have direct experience of working with children, adults and/or families from Black and minority ethnic backgrounds.  In their work for Just Psychology they will be committed to representing positively our work and ethos.

Our Associates benefit from peer supervision; supervision from more experienced associates; and access to Just Psychology training events at a reduced rate.

Family Group Conference Coordinators

We are looking for experienced Family Group Conference Coordinators to work in our service in Manchester.

You will be involved in planning, coordinating and facilitating Family Group Conferences in a way that responds appropriately to the needs of families from diverse backgrounds.

You will assist families to come to their own decisions about how they will care for their children safely.

You will be expected to have completed accredited Family Group Conference training and to have experience of working as a Family Group Conference Coordinator. You will take part in regular supervision and practice development groups. CPD is also available.

Assistant Psychology Intern (Work Placement) based in Manchester

  • An opportunity to work at Just Psychology, a social enterprise providing psychological services to adults, children and families in the local community, with an emphasis on cultural competence and social justice. Work will include assisting with training, audit, service evaluation, and supporting our Family Group Conference service.
  • The successful applicant would receive regular supervision from a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, and work alongside a team with decades of experience providing psychologically informed services within the NHS and the not-for-profit/third sector
  • This is an voluntary post that promotes inclusivity by offering a flexible working schedule to be negotiated with the service.
  • This is a six month placement, with an initial probationary period.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree in psychology, and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (or Masters plus 2:2).
  • The successful applicant must be familiar with, and adhere to, the ethos and values of Just Psychology, the British Psychological Society and the Health and Care Professions Council. They must also be able to provide valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certification
