David is member of the Board of Directors
Currently retired, David has worked in recent years on fundraising and financial management for a number of voluntary organisations. He is a school governor and chair of the Staffing & Budget committee. He also works on an educational project around inter-cultural and global development issues.
A trained teacher, he taught for 10 years in early post-colonial Zambia and in Botswana. He acted for 8 years as an advisory teacher for Manchester LEA with particular responsibility for Peace Education and for Citizenship. For 12 years he was the coordinator of Manchester’s Development Education Project (DEP) responsible for the project development, fundraising and financial management of a number of initiatives which had national resonance.
He enjoys walking long distance footpaths, reading, cats and cricket.
