Mercy Chiwama

I am a retired practitioner and now a Cultural Consultant with Just Psychology since 2014.

I hold a Master's degree in Primary Health Care from the University of Manchester. I qualified as a registered nurse in Zambia and have additional qualifications in Nursing Education BSc Degree with a major in community health.

I worked as a matron of a private nursing home, a case worker with African Caribbean Mental Health Service, and a member of the teaching staff in the faculty of education at the University of Manchester.

My last job was with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust as a bridge builder working with people recovering from mental ill health.

I am a member of Age Friendly Assembly, Manchester University NHS foundation trust, Culture Ambassador with One Manchester, On Time Banking with Southway, and Naturally Occurring Retired Community (NORC), run by Southway.
