Individual therapy for adults within families can be offered, drawing on cognitive analytic therapy (CAT) and other therapy approaches.
All therapy approaches aim to incorporate the cultural perspectives of the child, parent or family.
Referrals can be made through a number of routes, including GP referral, self-referral, local communities, social services, schools, GP commissioners, and family justice courts.

I liked to know how I’m expected to raise my child here in the UK, and I also enjoyed the fact that we could be open about our own experiences.
Therapy approaches on offer to children and families include:
family and systemic therapy
solution focussed therapy
eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)
cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
positive parenting programmes, drawing on a range of evidence-based parenting programmes
“I liked how we played games and did art and crafts. I liked it when we talked about controlling anger and when we acted out some emotions.”
