Ben Willmot is a Public Health Commissioning Manager and a member of Just Psychology’s Board. He is a graduate of Newcastle University, where he studied History. He also has an MSc from Salford University in Social Policy, in which a key focus was on the impact of social media on the mental health of children and young people.
Working at Trafford Council for the past six years, Ben's previous role in the commissioning team was in children’s community health services. This role included the responsibility of commissioning various children’s mental health services. He currently works in Public Health, where key areas of work include Healthy Lifestyles, Domestic Abuse, Sexual Health, and Smoking Cessation.
Ben is asked to return yearly to Salford University to give talks on Social Policy and is a volunteer leader with the Scouts in West Didsbury.
